Why?

After being into RC for a couple of years, I still haven't found a site that where I can find news, advice, and information about RC Oval racing. There are plenty of forums which contain tons of information, but it's spread out and not easy to find the information you need to go fast and have fun.

This site is not a forum. Hobbytalk, Dirtoval.com, RCTech etc. all do a great job of providing a place for RC enthusiasts to talk about their hobby. Forums are not always the best place for owners to post news and information about their site because as soon as they post the information, it gets buried 24 pages back.

My hopes for this site are as follows:

1. A place for track owners in the Great Lakes region to post race schedules, rules, and information about their tracks. Any track owner that wants will be given a blog and homepage to post this information, and write whatever news articles they want to promote their tracks. I hope that this becomes THE place to find RC track information.

2. Real RC product reviews from real racers. Not just the magazine, this car is awesome hype stuff.

3. Video tutorials and articles to explain setups and all of the stuff you can't find in the manual.

4. A place for local fabricators, to market their custom RC products.

I don't know if people will actually visit the site or contribute, but I'm going to start it and see what happens.

This site will be changing look and feel for awhile until I find something that works. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
